Ivoclar Vivadent’s patented lithium disilicate material is truly a revolution for the dental industry. Never before has a material been able to combine high strength (420 MPa), high esthetics and ease of use into one product, until now.
IPS e.max is a lithium disilicate glass ceramic that has optimized translucency, durability and strength for full anatomical restorations. Due to the use of new technologies and optimized processing parameters, IPS e.max lithium disilicate has evolved beyond previously available lithium disilicate ceramics.
IPS e.max lithium disilicate restorations exhibit superior durability featuring 400 MPa of flexural strength. When fabricated to full-contour, the monolithic structure is the most robust ceramic system tested to date. The opalescence, translucency and light diffusion properties of IPS e.max lithium disilicate were all designed to replicate natural tooth structure for beauty and undetectable restorations.

The new Esthetic Z material combines the known positive properties of zirconia with a significant increase in translucency (49% translucency), making it ideal for anterior and posterior applications up to 3-unit bridgework in all tooth positions. Highly biocompatible, Esthetic Z is the ideal restorative material for today’s dentistry, offering the translucency of a lithium disilicate while retaining the strength of zirconia (720 MPa’s). Unlike current glass ceramics, Esthetic Z allows for a conservative feather edge preparation due to its high strength. Custom Z High Translucency Zirconia boasts 16 natural transitional shades creating the ideal base for your artistry. All Custom Z restorations are created from ‘high definition’ milling strategies providing dentists noticeably improved anatomy and form. It is an esthetic alternative to PFM metal occlusal/lingual or full-cast restorations. The chip proof durability of a Custom Z restoration is ideal for bruxers who have broken natural teeth or previous PFM restorations. Custom Z Solid Zirconia is also ideal when the patient lacks the preparation space for a PFM.(minimum thickness for max strength is 1 mm). At 1250Mpa CustomZ is indicated for crowns, bridges, implants, inlays and onlays, screw-retained implant crowns and full-arch implant prostheses. CustomZ HT Zi Crowns have a 3 yr Warranty.
